Virtual Rehabilitation

Conestoga View Nursing & Rehabilitation is the first Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in the Lancaster area to offer The Omni VR Virtual Rehabilitation System.  Virtual Rehabilitation can make exercise fun and interesting to help improve recovery.
The Omni VR is the first rehabilitation system developed to accommodate the needs of medically complex patients, including aging adults.  The technology uses an advanced 3D camera and specialized computer software to track the patient’s precise movements and allow them to interact in a virtual world.  This technology can help to improve muscle weakness, balance and coordination problems, difficulty walking & sitting, flexibility limitations as well as movement and endurance issues.
Virtual rehabilitation offers a variety of exercise and activity programs for the patient's individual needs.

With the help of a therapist, patients may participate in walking and balance exercises, memory activities, seated and upper body exercises, as well as wheelchair activities.

Our program makes it easy for people of all ages to benefit from virtual rehabilitation.

No special hand controllers, mats or platforms are needed. The computer images and activities used with the program are simple and easy to understand.
